In Leland Duncan's Tenterden churchyard M.I's (srl 187) he notes thefollowing inscription: Richard and Mary ?Relf late of this parish. Richard) (October, 17..6) (7...died abed Mary) (February, 1771) (71 (not traced in Registers). The Next inscription (srl 188) relates to Richard Relf late of this parish, died 31st March, 1801, aged 57, Leaving issue with Mary, his widow, nine children: Mary, Ann, Roichard, Susanna, thomas, Elizabeth, Frances, William and John. It is therefore possible that Ann Relph who married Thomas Martin in 1880 was the daughter of the the former Richard ans sister of the second Richard. Other references to Relpf are at Srl's 189 and 402 | RELPH, Ann (I48)

In the Will of William Huckstep dated 1739 he mentions his children Mary and her husband Thomas SWEETLOVE, Elizabeth and her husband Joseph TAMKIN (sic), Ann, Thomas, Henry, Richard and Jane. This is sufficient to prove that William married twice first to Mary SHEATHER and secondly to Ann WHATE.
It can also be presumed that in the absence of the following children from the Will that they pre-deceased him: Elizabeth (1702), William (1706) and John 1719). | HUCKSTEP, William (I706)
