• Notes

In the Will of William Huckstep dated 1739 he mentions his children Mary and her husband Thomas SWEETLOVE, Elizabeth and her husband Joseph TAMKIN (sic), Ann, Thomas, Henry, Richard and Jane. This is sufficient to prove that William married twice first to Mary SHEATHER and secondly to Ann WHATE. It can also be presumed that in the absence of the following children from the Will that they pre-deceased him: Elizabeth (1702), William (1706) and John 1719).
